Privacy — NeuroPhonetics apps and Google sign-in
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This page covers what happens when you sign in with Google in any NeuroPhonetics app. Each app also has its own privacy policy, which says everything else it does; the links are at the bottom.
Who we are
The apps are made by NeuroPhonetics LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Minnesota, United States · 202 N Cedar Ave Ste 1, Owatonna, MN 55060-2306, USA · .
Why an app asks you to sign in with Google
Only so that you can keep a copy of your own work in your own Google Drive: your progress, your settings, a backup, or an export you choose. Signing in is optional; every app works without it, and copies can also go to a folder you pick or to your other devices over your own Wi-Fi.
What the app can see in your Google account
- One permission only:
drive.file. It lets the app see and change only the files that app created in your Drive, or files you opened with it — nothing else in your Drive, your Gmail, your contacts, your calendar or your photos. The app does not ask for your Google profile or for sign-in to anything else. - Your Google account's email address, which Google Drive reports to the app, so the app can show you where it saves ("Saving to you@example.com"). It is kept on your device and goes nowhere else.
- In Redeem Time, a Google Sheet you ask it to make is one of those files the app created, under the same permission.
- On a TV, Redeem Time signs in the way Google provides for TVs: it shows a code that you enter at google.com/device on your phone or computer. It gets the same
drive.filepermission, and the TV keeps its sign-in token in its own private storage.
What reaches NeuroPhonetics
Nothing, through Google sign-in. The files go straight from your device to your own Drive and back, under your account. Your Google data never passes through a server of ours; we cannot see your files, your email address or your sign-in, and we never store, sell, share or use any of it for advertising, and never use it to train any AI model.
NeuroPhonetics' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How to stop it and delete it
- Sign out of Google Drive in the app's settings; the app then also tells Google to end its access.
- Remove access yourself at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions (choose the app, then remove it).
- Delete the files the app made in your Drive: they are in a folder named NeuroPhonetics (Neurophonetics in earlier versions of our apps), with one folder per app inside. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete those files; they are yours.
Each app's own policy
- Redeem Time — privacy policy
- Mimesis — privacy policy
- Phonema — privacy policy
- Lectio — privacy policy
- Antiphon — privacy policy
- Sentio — privacy policy
- Pragma and Semantica — their policies are shown in the app, and will be published here before either is released.
Test versions given to family and testers outside Google Play show their own policy in the app; what they do with Google sign-in is exactly what this page says.
